It's not....people have caught him (and I saw it myself when someone here posted) selling hats he got from the goodwill auction site as "dad's Collection".....even using their (goodwill's) posted pictures:mad:.....though he seems to now use just his own pictures...probebly got caught and a complaint filed by the goodwill people.....
I am thinking he didn't say "my dad's collection" so as the hat likely belonged to someone's dad then technically it was not a lie!

Well, defeated yesterday, but defeated by myself. I totally spaced out on this BOP that I was kindly given the tip off on by @BobHufford. I pulled it up on my phone, all set to try and snipe with 10 mins to go (as I am wont to do).....and then got distracted by laundry and my FireTV thingie that suddenly stopped working. I finally remembered about the hat like 2 hours later. So I feel dumb for that one!

Bummer.. I’ve lost a few special ones that way.

Victorious arrival this week:
Very near mint Stetson Twenty Five. Had a make offer option; couldn’t help myself and risked an offer $25 lower than the seller’s starting bid.
$152 after modern hat box shipping, tax and crap. Very acceptable considering quality level and 7 1/2 size.
Maybe an anomaly? Has its original sewn in liner that looks mid/late 60s to me, but the rest of the hat has mid 50s components.
Great felt quality! Soft and supple.

Amazing that two of these 25s from the same era show up so close to each other. Couple variations between yours and Brent’s. But very cool.. don’t see these too too often

She’s definitely a beaut. Doesn’t fit me just right but close enough that I can keep her for a while.
looked but couldn’t find Brent’s 25 you speak of. Where is it?

I just bought this Jay-Mor. Never heard of them. I like the color, the shape, and the fact that the seller accepted 75 dollars, plus I have seen that size tag on another, more famous brand, but can't remember which. Does anyone?
Plus, the seller says it's from the 50s, and I think it's older, because it's unreeded. Anyone?

Certainly custom when they design a bust of the recipient before making the hat :p;)
