He had a small engine repair shop from the time I was 3 or 4, until I was about 12, when he gave it up to focus on the gun sales more (he did both from our barn, and then later a shop in town.) People would bring them in for repairs, and if they didn't feel that the machine was worth the money to fix, they'd tell dad to keep them. He'd get them running and sell them.
That's how I ended up with my Simplicity Broadmoor, a gift from him when I was 8.
The big landlord with the snowblower, I gave 200 for. He tried to get it to run, but couldn't. I could hear the problem and had it fixed within ten minutes of being home

If something powered by Gas is out of it, the fix may be longer if the distance between the gas can and a gas station is "boonies" long distance.:rofl: That would take less than ten minutes to fix.
