Grandpa's canoe paddle

    I was just up in Ithaca for my nephew's Cornell graduation (Yes! Me proud uncle!) and I finally got a shot of the famous paddle. My grandfather (see avatar) had a knack with people, and this was done for him by some friend or other some time in the late 1940's. I think it speaks for itself. ;)

    None that I'm aware of, other than the fact that my grandfather made friends with every kind of person, and it's not surprising that somebody would do this for him. This paddle now resides about 100 feet from Lake Cayuga, but it will never get wet again in its life, I can assure you.
