I've been getting this on Netflix, it is such a great show, and seems like just the thing to recommend here; two sisters who are designing clothes in England at the start of the 20s, trying to create their own business and dealing with adversity because of gender and social issues... as well as the issues of changes in style and culture. and the costuming is fantastic.

I saw some of them when it was shown in NZ in the early 90s. Costuming was fantastic and the series was popular back home.
