How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

This is what I did. Magnification, scratch, weight and close assessment of the mechanical performance

Thanks, I don't have much knowledge of Crown zippers, I thought someone would know. How did these reproductions compare to the original? Is there one company that makes these various reproduction zippers? The ball and chain have no stampings. It is quite a good reproduction and does look good on the jacket.

Spiegel Aviator just arrived. Spiegel jackets are the biggest mystery in my world of leather jackets. This is late 1940s, no leather tag, but i belive it is Horsehide. Ever Spiegel I own is larger than their label size. This one is labeled a 38, yet it fits bigger.

I have a Car Coat from SB on the way in their Prairie Black. I've been really impressed by the Klondike and SBV2 that I own and am considering a Drifter in Mooreiche.

I have a SB Klondike in the works, and your couple photos helped pin it down for me. You don't show a lot of pics but I can see your chest pocket clearly and you really did a number on that with the no zip/single button, with triangles. Really nice. SB is sending me leather samples right now. So excited.

G-1 style jacket take 3., let’s see if third time is the charm. I completed a transaction for a Schott NYC G-1 naked cowhide. This will be my first new with tags jacket in a very long time. not sure if this guy buys these at the Schott factory sale but I picked this one up for roughly 1/4 the price on the website. With removable collar and zip out liner. He accepts returns so very low risk.

One of my all-time favorites. I made several super cool vest linings for this jacket. The mouton lining was called the bear. Lastly, how cool is that rod bent? You know there is some serious hide pulling it down. LOL.

Yes, the Klondike is a good pattern - the triangular patches are a minimal extra expense. SB's goat is really nice, and the Blattwerk mahogany I got a SBV2 in is thick and not stiff. The car coat I have coming will be in Prairie Black, which is from the same tannery as Blattwerk.

It seems this pattern is very similar to classic halfbelt styles but with a bit of difference, which I like. I'm glad to hear your endorsement. I have a café racer in fairly heavy black goatskin, and one is enough for me. This one will be in a very dark brown horsehide with a reddish tint to it. Hopefully something with some character and depth. I don't know names or sources, but like I said, samples are on the way.

I found your question about the triangle reinforcements, and the positive response you got. I love the detail. What did you do for the handwarmer pockets? I'm thinking no zips or buttons, and maybe triangles aren't needed there?

Looks like they copied the shoulder (chest) pocket from 5* lol

Argh noooo! The dreaded 5* comparison *headshake*. To be fair, I do see what you see. I had to shoot home after reading this to get my tape measure out to see if all the highwayman samples have the same pocket height. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I think my horrific product photography may also have something to do with the proportions not looking right. Here are some alternative pics of the same jacket with different pulls…
