Actually I just thought I'd share my latest project hat.
Hopefully it will be finished up in time for either my LA trip or at least
the Boston gathering.

Don't worry, the brim has already been chopped down to a more managable
2 3/4" and I may go a bit more before I'm done.

It's still a work in progress! I am not going for the Hoss look. It's just always fun getting that before shot!

I think that the shortening of hat brims along with the total disappearance of hats falls directly in line w/ the rise of melanoma.

Nice hat! But why did you wear it to play mini golf?

Why did I just know that someone was going to make a comment about my putting green! ;)
Too bad it's going to be replaced by a deck soon!

Crown good....brim way too big.
Good thing you have cut it down already
Where have you been? Good to see you. I like the color of the hat.?

Someday I going to just finish a hat and leave the brim that big!
Maybe I can start a trend.
I'll post some more pics when it gets closer to being finished.
I've been around, just not in here alot lately.

Having too big a hat is like having too much money. Enjoy!

I don't know about that. I was at a Cheap Trick show years ago, and their hats were ridiculous.

But so was their music. I guess it was a wash.

Looks like it's going to be a good project hat. The bigger the dimensions, the more you can do to it. After all, you can always cut down, bit it's impossible to put back.

As the Aussies are prone to say, "It's not a hat unless a family can picnic under it."
Clearly, your project qualifies.

What a fantastic looking hat, Dalexs!

I was more than a bit shocked when I looked at the before and after pictures of that open-crown and the beautiful fedora it became. It looks marvelous on you.
