Is this the famous Stewart thin ribbon?

I just came upon this on the Peters Bros site. I visit the site often but had never seen this photo before. This may have been touched on here before but in a search I found nothing. So here goes.

Could this be the thin ribbon we love [in its original style] ? It looks as if the hat is being presented to Jimmy Stewart.

A couple of pics of the hat from the films.

I was just watching FBI story last night on DVD. Like John said RBH you may be on to something. I'm glad you brought this up. I want my Borsalino Alessandria with the same bash. My Open Road has a similar bash.

Thanks for starting this RBH!

I knew there was a reason I liked this type hat (mine's a Borsalino Alessandria). I subliminally associated it with Jimmy Stewart!

I just won my third thin ribbon hat yesterday morning. my other two are a stratoliner and an allesandria. The Stratoliner have a 'narower' brim than the allesandria and i thought i should look into one with a wider brim. And here it is, now officially called my "Jimmy Stewart" hat:
