links to prior threads don't match

Am I the only one who's having this problem? Nearly always when I click a link that the moderators have added to take me to a similar existing topic I get a thread that has nothing to do with the topic being discussed. It's a real head scratcher to be linked from a post talking about vintage cars to one about makeup (example only).

Yep, it came with the overhaul of the website. They are trying to fix some of it though.
