1. To make sure I attend school everyday so I can graduate in November.

2. Keep staying healthy as far as my asthma, eating right, and some exercise.

3. To work on my confidence.

4. Learn to take compliments.

I'm still living by one several years back:

To make no New Year's resolutions I'm not certain I can keep. Have a long list of "New Years 'would-be-nices'", but not many "resolutions" per se.

The big one: see about reducing the size of my "radiator cores" (I have a slight hump of fat-tissue over my upper spine and shoulder blades, in addition to the midsection), if not eliminating them.

The first: To breathe out every time I breathe in.
(Never promise more than you can live up to)

The second: Smoke many expensive cigars.

The third: Get that ride in a Spitfire.

1. Pick up my mile-and-a-half time.

2. Get better at doing real, regular pushups.

3. Eat more natural and organic food.

4. Revamp entire vintage hair-and-beauty look and routine to reflect hair going from past-shoulder-blade length to chin-length and getting glasses. :(

5. Stress less, yoga more.

Well, I don't make New Year's Resolutions, but there are a few things I've been meaning to do, so might as well start now:

 1. Learn to finally practice and play my custom Irish Lap Harp
 2. Get my husband and I into dance lessons again
 3. Start a gym membership again (my gym closed)
 4. Force myself to get together with friends and family more often
 5. Train my new puppy to get a Good Canine Citizenship Award (test is in September in my region)

I'm sure there are more...but wowsee! Look at all I want to do already! Maybe I should stop here since I seem to already be overbooked.

My resolution is to stop talking negative about people.
Either my age or people are getting wackier than usual.
I watched a show the other night.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0159365/
Extremely dreary and stupid show but Renee Zellweger was fabulous in it.
Her character had a line about clouds and rain I wish I could remember as it pretty much summed up my thinking on people this last year.

Oh, and travel more.

"They call this war a cloud over the land. But they made the weather and then they stand in the rain and say 'Shit, it's raining!' "

I love that line! :)

1. I am going to enroll in Jazz and Tap classes
2. I am going to audition for at least one production to get over whatever it is that's freaked me out on auditions since 2005
3. I am going to stay positive in the face of yet another separation
4. I am going to take swing classes and start dancing again
5. I am going to keep the house in better order and learn to enjoy cleaning. Or at least learn to tolerate it.
6. I am going to make it to the QM in 2008
7. I am going to finish at least one unfinished project a month
8. I am going to broaden my horizons and learn new things
9. I am going to laugh more
10. I am going to live better and appreciate each day that is given to me and try to remember that life is too short to take for granted what little time we have with one another.

I don't think I need any this year. I just need to maintain what I've accomplished so far. I've done a fine job of picking up the pieces, now I just have to hold it together.

Mine is the weight loss thing every year, its slow as molasses lol
Other than that seriously I resolve to take things easy.

BTW: I love Renee and the quote you were thinking of about the clouds.

Rudy:
They call this war a cloud over the land. But they made the weather and then they stand in the rain and say 'Shit, it's raining!' :eusa_clap

I like this one:

Rudy:
Ain't no man better than me. On account of there's no man around here that ain't old, or full o' mischief. lol

The usual....eat a little better, lose a little weight, and exercise a little more. I gave up smoking a few years ago, so thankfully that's not on the resolution list;)

My resolution is to get a mile-and-a-half time. And find all the muscles I've lost in the year-plus since I've been to the gym.

Oh, and to attempt at least one vintage hairstyle and post pics in the Beauty forum!

***Clean my home more in a much more green way. Keep it more tidy but recognizing clutter before it happens.Waste less of everything.
***Potty Train my son with ASD, FINALLY this year.

I'm going to try my hardest to become a vegetarian this year. I went for about a year (2 years ago when living with a vegan) not eating meat - ok, I slipped sometimes - and found myself feeling and looking healthier. The main reason obviously is that I don't want to eat animals anymore. I feel that we really don't have to eat them as there are other meat alternatives available which I actually enjoy. It's when I eat out at restaurants or grabbing lunch that I automatically pick something with meat or fish and I'd really like to just stop altogether. The only meat I eat anyway is chicken and I like seafood but I plan to wean myself off things gradually.

Oh and the usual things - lose a bit of weight, socialise more, learn how to sew (enrolled for a course but the January one was full so the next one is in April :eusa_doh:), meet new people and get myself out of a job which I hate more than I thought was humanly possible. I would've also said to take swing dance lessons but I started a few months ago and it is so much fun!

1. FINISH MY PHD EXAMS.

2. Exercise more. The shape is fine but the tone is slipping.

3. Learn to properly swing dance. I'm horrid.

4. Be a good father.

5. Meet more Loungers in person ... I did meet a good number this year (FedoraGent, Magneto, Lady Day, MK, Cacklewack, Chucklehead, Brooksie, Travis, Technonut, Pdxvintagette, Miss Melly, Mr. Melly, Sefton, Mrs. Sefton, Katie, Wingnut, and several more briefly met), but I always want to meet more.

6. Read more.

7. Visit more historical towns in Northern California.

8. See my parents more often, especially as they are terribly old.

9. Be a good teacher.

10. Start my dissertation.

11. Get something published.
