Picked up another fedora

Just picked this one up off of Ebay.
It's an Adams hat, dark brown.
Only $16 and it was near were I live.

Intersting hat. It is interting to me for several reasons. 1. the ribbon is pleated, not as a "buterfly" 2. the color 3. the crown hight. 4. the brim, it looks flatter then usual. Very nice and good price. Any ideas on the style points I mechined above.

The block and brim remind me of a Whippet.

Wow! That was quite a deal.
You might want to sculpt the back of the hat a bit. It looks like the original block was a bit deeper at the back---kind of like a C crown. Most hats of the vintage age had a distinctive slant from front to back. Sort of like this:

How wide is the brim?

Very nice ebay win! I haven't had any luck with ebay in awhile. I had a hat in my sights today and it jumped $20 in the last minute of bidding!
