Lion Hats One Hundred Percent Pure Beaver Fur, brim up and down. The felt is as dense and has as good a hand as any One Hundred I own, and that includes my MacLachlan Golden Beaver Hundred, although it does have small imperfections.

Good to hear that the felt is high quality. Beaver Brand made some nice hats in its day.

View attachment 276840 More Dalton pics, and the newspaper pieces under the sweatband. The phone numbers on the ads don't have an area code...
Help me date it, please?

Another great group of hats Max!

"The Quiet Man" was from '52 and "From Here to Eternity" was from '53. "Cease Fire" (in 3D) was also from '53.

A mighty nice Lyon, Max. I like my Beaver Brand OR clone but I'll have to watch for some of the other models as well.

The Great Diamond Robbery was 1954. Dalton closed their Yonkers factory and moved to Baltimore in 1953. A member of the Dalton family posted at one point he believed the company didn't last long after 1953. I purchased a Dalton jobber hat for my wife several months ago; I wonder if they went that direction for a few years after moving to Baltimore.

Yonkers New York? I didn’t know their factory was here. I’ve certainly never spotted one in my hat searches. Do you know the address Jim?
