I don't normally buy hat boxes, but I also have an original 'three way' print ad, and for $21 I figured I could store one of my Stetsons in it.

Back when I was an avid collector I musthear ya. Iihave had 20-30 boxes stacked up all over my studio condo, and that ain't ever happening again. I've seen pictures of various forum members' stacked boxes, so I realize 20-30 is practically nothing

I hear ya.

That's about half of them. In my defense, there's a hat in almost every one of them.

Staalmeester Rembrandt
5 inch crown as shaped
1 7/8 brim with overwelt
1 3/4 charcoal grosgrain ribbon

I decided to dig into Stefan @steur magical mystery care package from a few weeks back to join @BobHufford in his StingyPendance celebration. This Staalmeester is a real beauty with a nice tall crown sitting at 5 inches as shaped with a nice deep center dent. It is a nice medium grey felt with a charcoal grey ribbon. It got a nice fresh steam today to smooth out some wrinkles in the pinch and to tweak the brim a bit.

Very pleased with my new semi calado Panama from Hornskov.

A very generous brim width at 8.5cm (3.3 inches), and crown height at 10cm to the front crease.

I chose the green/wine flower puggaree.

The usual Hornskov roanskin leather sweatband.

The model name is Serene. I feel quite chilled wearing it!

Dunn and Co - Brown Long Hair
4 3/4 crown as shaped
1 1/4 patterned ribbon
1 7/8 raw edge brim

Once again to Stefan’s magical mystery care package for another StingyPendance entry. Dunn and Co in a beautiful dark brown long hair felt. This hat feels as though it has never been worn. Pure petting felt that shines beautiful in the sun with its long fibers. It’s got a fairly pronounced flange on the back of the brim giving a bit of tyrolean fashion… but it is one really nice looking hat. I love the patterned ribbon.

Hückel Mercur homburg in black. Great hat, but seller sold it is a 58, but tags where inside and shows it's a 56. How can you not see that, i even asked for it. Way too small for me unfortunally. So this one will have to go to another one.

Having moved to southwest Florida in 2022, I don't see much weather where I can comfortably wear my felt hats, so this Panama has got to the point where it's a little too "authentic".

I'll post the finished product once received.

I've ordered a new Optimo from Panama Hats Direct.

At a look I have some suspicious it is a Vanzina disguised as Dunn.
It has too many elements that lead it towards that producer.
Neverthless a distingished hat!
