I have just seen this on Facebook, and wanted to draw it to the attention of the community here:
"Rocket Originals
Unfortunately our weekend at the Hot Rod Hayride ended all too early. We had a phone call Saturday morning to tell us our warehouse had been broken into, so we had to return to Sheffield to meet the police there. We’d only arrived Friday evening, it’s a weekender we don’t work at with the stall, and we’d been looking forward to it so were really pissed off on 2 accounts; ruined weekend and break-in.
Our warehouse is in the East End of Sheffield, it’s 1,000 square foot (so small in warehouse terms), and where we keep all our stock and our works’ van. We’ve been there for just over 2 years and never had any problems, but unfortunately the thieves turned up in the early hours of Saturday armed with cutting and burning equipment – they were well prepared. They also only targeted our warehouse, apparently after the van because hardly any other stock was taken from shelves, just thrown about a bit. But, the van did have some stock inside that they drove away with (over 300 pairs of ladies shoes and hundreds of belts). They also ransacked the office (the spare van keys where in there), and stole money.
Now, as most of you know, Rocket Originals’ products are manufactured by us and only available from us. We don’t wholesale, so if any of you see any for sale in any quantities we’d appreciate it if you could tell us please (our mobile number is 07595 272 868), and we’ve been told to inform the police so they can deal with it. Obviously the odd pair of shoes are sold on from customers on eBay etc.
The van is a silver Vauxhall Movano (VK60 UFS), and the Police have it on their systems throughout the UK on the number plate recognition cameras etc, so it might turn up somewhere. They’re also on the lookout for the stock, which could turn up anywhere from a market to a dump-pit site!
We’ve still got loads of stock – so although it’s made a small dent it’s not affecting business. Thanks, Kaye & Martin"
Rocket Originals make wonderful shoes, as well as other accessories. Great product, great service. If anyone should see any sign of the van or their stock, please shop the illegitimate so and sos who you see with them.
