Jeff, your favorites show such variety! To be expected from a blues piano playin' classical oboist from SoCal now residing in SoDak. :eusa_clap

Steve, those velours are really something, a feast for my tired eyes.

Rabbit, I'm not quite sure what's better, the venerable plaster wall and hook, or the hats themselves! Beautiful photography.

Thanks for posting!

Jeff, great stuff! Love the Bowler in Civil War era style.

Steve, it's great to see some of your best Velours all in one place. An amazing selection.

Randall, thank you very much. That's a nice thing to say. :)

Thanks guys! Nik, that civil war reproduction is a cool hat. I wish I wore it more, but the low beehive seems to accentuate my round face... I've been thinking about getting a "Mosby" style hat from either Tim Bender or Clearwater.

By the way I'm kind of drooling over your VS in silver belly w/ greenish grey ribbon and the one in sand with a similar ribbon.

Likewise, Steve-- most impressive velours. I'll reiterate the comment I made to Rabbit in another thread: You are forcing me to start looking for a velour! :eusa_doh:

The P&C Habig and the backbow have brims I'd go nuts over.

How about a thread for "Top Ten Hats that belong to other loungers!?"

Jeff, thanks for your kind words on those two VSs. The felt/ ribbon color combinations really are a delight.

I know what you mean about the low-crown Bowler. It's so totally another style.

As for the long hairs and velours - they require a long search, but it will be worth it if you can find one that suits you eventually.

I like your suggestion for a new thread very much indeed, and I'm generally on the stingy side regarding opening new threads. :)
It could be a fun thread! Might dig up lots of buried treasures, too. If you don't start the new thread, I will for sure. :D

Great Collection! I see Hat #8 sits on a Christmas Box. I have only seen one other like that in many years and I bought it. My thought it was some what rare. With your collecting what was your thought on that.
