I was at my niece's graduation yesterday, and a guy a few rows ahead of me had a really nice fur felt hat with a flat brim. It got me thinking how nice flat brims look, on the right hat, that is.

So show us your flat brim hats . . . . I bet there are a lot of real lookers out there. Any type of hat, any material. Just so it has a flat brim all around.

There isn’t a style you don’t look natural in. You’re one of those rare “hat people” who can pull off any look. This hat looks great.

First, welcome to the lounge. Hope you enjoy your time here.
I think these are flat brims. Hope you like em.
They are all Vintage Stetson Nutrias except the last one. It’s an old NO.1
    Be well. Bowen

Man, I've been out of the Marine Corps over 20 years and the site of the Marine Corps "smokey" still gives me chills.

Ha..that it does and then some!
Funny, while i was putting the hats on the car a couple that do daily walks by for several years stopped and admired the Smokey. He was a Marine too and we had a nice chat about those days of terror. I totally understood when he said “can i touch it”? Nothin like 3 of those in your face at 1 time!!
My “chills” are 45 years old!

Thank you, Brent. Happy to oblige. Not as flat as I would like, but I will work on that later.

I think a Mennonite hat made by Flying Cloud. Want to flatten the brim a little more.

Kind of cheating: Stetson 6X Rancher in the middle of conversation with the brim ironed flat.

When this Biltmore open-weave straw arrived, the brim had a western shape. But over time it lost definition and was a wavy mess. So I flattened it out. I think it works. IMG_0521.JPG IMG_0522.JPG IMG_0523.JPG
