  1. I've been wanting a cherrywood sitter but with a more traditional tortoiseshell Cumberland stem or else just ebonite.

  3. If I buy another meer it will either be a 100 yr old or a replica of Lee Van Cleef's personal meer; some are better than others. They are artificially colored. It is said he always smoked his personal pipes in his movies.

    Lost too young!

  5. I have the first tin version of Friends Pipe Tobacco. I still need to find the later tin.

I ordered a couple varieties of tobacco plant sets yesterday. Going to try growing & blending some leaf this yr. I ordered plants because I'm about a month too late to start seeds inside.

A fantastic find at a local antique store, now restored and in the regular rotation of pipes:

I only have a basic pipe right now, but with the expectation that I would get something with a bit of style once I got a good handle on how to smoke it properly (no use damaging anything expensive due to my inexperience).

A buddy of mine has a couple of old Meerschaum pipes that he keeps stashed away that I wouldn't mind getting hold of myself at some point.

A slight detour for the thread, but I have a question: does anyone know if it's possible to fix a cracked pipe? And if so, howda dooit?

    Too bad. Sounded fun.

  17. Briar or Meerschaum? Is the crack in the bowl or stummel?
Send an email with good pics to Dave & he can advise:
