At time of writing, Wes Anderson's Asteroid City is playing in UK cinemas. I adored it myself - though I'd happily have watched it for the wardrobe alone. Studio 180 has an exhibition of costumes and props from the film currently running in London https://www.180studios.com/asteroid-city . The exhibition closes on July 30th, 2023 -go, go, go if you can. Even if you hated the film, it's worth it for the clothes alone. I went with a friend last week (before I saw the film, so be warned there is a "sort of" spoiler for the plot, but probably not much if you've already seen the trailer...). I took a lot of photos, thought some of them might be welcome here.

Edward Norton's costume is a thing of true beauty, and I wish I could buy all of it to fit me..

My favourite bit, a detail totally missed on screen, is the slippers: leather house slippers, designed to ape cowboy boots. PLEASE if anyone knows where these can be found...

Very fun looking exhibit, though the photos make it seem totally devoid of visitors. Where you the only one there?

It was a great film. I will certainly watch it again and yes, the costumes where superb. My favorites where Adrian Brody’s, if I remember right.

We weren't alone, but it was quiet. Mid-afternoon on a Thursday. Judging from the ticket sales page when I booked in, evenings and weekends were inevitably much busier. I tend to try to get to things when they're quieter, especially if I know I'm going to want to do some photos. The English schools also weren't on holiday until a week or so later; not sure if that impacted on the daytime slot (I don't think it's exactly a film that would have been big with the schoolage kids, but it doubtless would affect their adults.)
