OK, here's a slice of cap history. I found this NOS (?) linen 'Oto Bi Cap' from 1916, made to satisfy the brand-new demand for automotive headwear! Check out how pristine the celluloid visor is.

Here is one I recently picked up from Sterkowski. You can actually order their hats through Amazon.

Sizing was larger than anticipated. I ordered my usual 59cm & they fit more like a 60cm. No problem that a little safety pin can't fix.
It's a tad warm now, but come winter this cap with my Indy jacket or my grey shawl collar cardigan will be some great combos.
