Looks good. I like the look of a hand creased hat, gives the hat some character.
Edit: I just looked at the ad for your hat - it's a wool hat, maybe that is why the brim sagged in the back. I was using my method on the Akubra fur hat.
John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. I'm going to be getting one real soon! Its the perfect canvas for those 20's/early 30's style hats that I love so much. With a 6 1/2 inch open crown, it leaves plenty of room for those wonderful deep creases. Again, BJ Hedberg, EXCELLENT job!!!
Nicely morphed!
That's an improvement, Cicero. Did you lose about an inch?
Gents, I'm looking all over the forum for a how to on converting these old cowboy hat finds, can someone drop the actual steps they take to do a conversion?
There is a step by step outline for converting a western in an earlier part of this thread. The way my thread is organized it's on page three.
