    Hey Brent:
I know this is a very nice hat. I have quite a few Dobbs up to a couple lovely Fortys which we all know are amazing felts.
But...the one i have that is an “Oh my, Oh my” hat is a Fifteen, never creased, well once i know of for about a minute, never worn??, with a felt delicacy that in different ways rivals the Fortys.
Imo the Fifteen is very under appreciated hat which gave you far more hat for $15 then it did for $40.
When all my Dobbs are gone, the Fifteen will stay. Ymmv
    Enjoy
    B

  2. Thanks, Bowen. The only vintage Forty I’ve owned was a Stetson and the felt was lovely, but I agree with your assessment of the Dobbs Fifteen. Definitely a lot of diminishing return going on. I only wish it had a bit more brim width and crown height to stay proportional with my hat size.

  4. Some of the nicest and lightest felt I’ve seen. Immaculate condition!

1950s Dobbs Fifteen pristine condition other than being squashed like a pancake during shipping.

I like the one with the brim jauntily snapped to the side as well.
