There is hope for the future though. A youtuber I follow paid a visit to Thomas Farthing in London to talk about clothes, but my eye was caught by this hat on display there. Importing it would be costly, but I really like the look of this one. Next time I'm in London I might splurge.

From what I gather the hats are made by Fernandez y Roche of Seville, Spain. They also make hats for JJ Hat Center.

Wow! I really like the hat on that ribbon ;-)
It's something isn't it? I think they've just sewn two 4cm ribbons together, but to my eye it really works. Reminds me a bit of that Battersby backbow you own. This hat has a higher crown though.

Herbert Johnson 62cm in charcoal gray. The color reminds me of Akubra’s carbon gray. The open crown is 5 1/2” and the brim is dimensional: 2 7/8” front and back and 2 5/8” on the sides. Very nice felt for not being vintage.
I like the clothing style as well. I don't think we have a Spanish hats thread. Just not enough of them found I think.
Now we all know what we want, do you think it's too late to get it for christmas?
Very cool find, Brent. I've handled quite a few hats, but I never found one of their hats.
Dunn&Co velour trilby. Size 55, so small for me (as it was for Panos) with the raw edge brim at 4cm and the crown at 10,5cm at the center dent. The felt is wonderful with a nice soft hand and a tiny bit of heathering going on. Now why did they decide to make this style hat out of that? The felt could have truly shone if it was a fedora or a homburg.
For a nice bit of contrast: this came out of the same box as the Dunn&Co.
GB Borsalino fu Lazzaro western hat in the colour banana. Size 58 (but fits me perfectly) with the raw edge brim at almost 9cm and crown 11,5cm at the center dent. Not an original Fu lazzaro, but the more modern revival. This one dates from 1982. I have the feeling this one could have been made in Canada for Borsalino. Sturdy but not stiff and not as refined as the Borsalino dress hats, but very pleased to have this one.

Moores were a top quality Manchester hat maker. Buy it!

I have a number of Bowlers and quite a few of them are made by one or other of the Manchester hat makers. This, however, is my first Battersby, my favourite of the hat manufacturers of that area.
12cm crown height, 4.5cm brim to the curl, 2.5cm grosgrain ribbon. Wool or wool blend. Nice feel to the felt as you'd expect from Battersby.
Has that clear and distinctive Battersby liner. Sold in a hat shop in Denmark's 5th largest town, Esbjerg, which is on the south-west coast of the mainland.
The bad news is, the sweatband stitching has popped somewhat at the front.
The best news is, it fits!

Léon homburg in grey (called "cloud" on the label). It was sold to me as a "large hat" , but it turned out to be a size 56 with the brim at 5,5cm and the crown at 10cm at the center dent. A nice sleek looking homburg. Léon was located on 21 Rue Daunou on the sit of the "American Dream" pub, bar and restaurant. The sweatband has a stamp of Jan Chapelier, which was located on 14 Rue de Roma in Paris. Neither of them is the maker of the hat though. The label inside the hat betrays it as being English made, almost certainly by Moores, who, as we've seen, also made hats for Berteil.
