The hat of JOAN OF ARC
This hairstyle (hat style?) of Joan was preserved until 1792, by Oratoriens of Orleans. It was, explained by the chronicler, made of gray felt with large edges but raised in the front and the edge attached by an extremely lengthened Fleur de Lis gold gilded. At the top was a Fleur de Lis of gilded copper which went down with filigrees in gilded copper spirals, rather many and finished by Fleurs de Lis hanging on the edges of the hat. The cap was in blue fabric. This hat, whose felt had been very damaged by the insects, was preserved in a boot of fir tree. (?).
