"The Natural" fedora

Does anyone know what type of fedora Redford wore in the film, "The Natural?? It also had a very strange looking ribbon, I assume it was faded from sun and sweat, but not sure.

Is it just me, or does the crown seem higher than normal? Maybe it just looks that way because the brim is turned down in the back and he is wearing it high up on his pretty-boy noggin.......

And it does look like the bottom half of the ribbon is stained with sweat.

the image is clearly elongated, not the hat.

I ran across a website that claimed the hat for the movie was made by Golden Gate Hats, in California. They seem to only make wool hats now.

Hmmm, looks sorta like this one...

Not the same hat, and different bash, but with similar crown, lack of taper, brim and edge.
