I haven’t seen any posts recently about the Vanson Dakota. Anyone have any opinions on it?

I've never seen one. It looks like a slightly oversized Enfield or Oxford. I'm not entirely sure how they call this a chore coar/barn coat pattern, because to me it still looks like a Model B, just relaxed fit and slightly long.

Not sure when mine was made, I have the serial number but I haven’t called Vanson to check. It is comp weight and I think they still make them. It is my first Vanson and I like it, it is a very heavy jacket.
