I found these Essex crystal waistcoat buttons recently, price was low to start with probably due to scratching of the crystals on most of the buttons, after a brief haggle I got them down to a very nice price;

Before as found;

And after a decent polish using various mediums and methods;

Interesting! Never seen buttons so detailed. I did have some metal fox-head buttons that I took off a waistcoat (I'm not into the hunting thing one bit) but they were quite nice items visually. You've done a good job of repairing them!

Not sure about the hunting thing myself Eddie unless I intend to eat it but I do like the iconography and accoutrements of the scene....I saw listed some MIB Fattorini ones recently for around £300!
cleaning them was easy just tedious, took me around 2 hours to get them to current state.
