Must be goat. No other hide passes the test of time as well and that jacket is probably late 40s, early 50s based on design.

I really enjoy mine, but yours is outstanding. Definitely goat. Mine has also some color fade, mostly on the sleeves. Unfortunately the zipper gets stuck about halfway up, and the stitch holes are so small and tight I don’t think there’s a tailor in the world that can install a new zipper using the original stitch holes.
