Found a Hee Haw on my DVR I had not seen yet.
It has George Jones and Tammy Wynette.
Both sing a song by themselves, and then one together later in the show.
Oh this one is a keeper! :eusa_clap

Good one to watch today. I'm really sad about the Possum's passing. Hit me hard.

  5. If you ask me television had long ago jumped the shark. :p

The recording of the recent semi-staged New York Philharmonic production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Carousel on Live At Lincoln Center.

While I wasn't thrilled with all of the cast (Billy Bigelow should really be played by an actor, not an opera singer; Kelli O'Hara was great... but at 37 she's a bit old for virginal Julie Jordan), this is undoubtedly the best the score has ever sounded. (That NY Phil is one helluva pit band!) The serious dramatic beats were also well-served, making it clear that in depth of feeling this show is far closer to opera than musical comedy. I cried like a baby!

This will be running on PBS stations for the next couple of weeks... Very highly recommended, especially if you only know Carousel from the okay-but-not-great 1956 film version.

Doctor Who: 'Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS' - Series 7, episode 11

Enjoyed it, but had a lot more trouble understanding the dialogue than usual for some reason.

Orpahn Black on BBC. It started with a bang and each episode keeps the story moving. It's Sci-Fi, but I call it a mild Sci-Fi because there is quite a bit of mystery thriller and the "sci" part is building. Watched episode 5 tonight, with 4 more to go in the season.

  17. I saw part of that one too. I was at a birthday party and it was sort of in the background so I didn't catch it all.

When I was a kid, I loved that show. Still enjoy it, and even though I have most of the DVD's, I'll watch it when it's on. Now, more of Alfed Hirchcock Presents.

  20. Alfed Hirchcock..... Never heard of him. :p
