Just turkey and salami sandwiches tonight. Still working on projects around the house. Tired, but feeling pretty happy about the renovation s.

Magic indeed.....but all of my kids were over for dinner (and two of them are teenagers now) so the price of enough bacon to make everyone happy, along with the amount of labor for the cook (me) to prepare said amount, was enough to cast a spell of cold hard reality over the evening's repast.

    Thank you, sir!

This is exactly why I don't cook/serve bacon a lot!

Tonight is something DS17 has been requesting: tofu stir fry with rice

That is understandable. There is never enough Bacon for me and I do not eat like a teenager anymore.

Tonight is chicken and dumpling casserole. I may be a rebel and not serve veggies with it.

My girlfriend makes vegetables and I know they are good for you, so I eat them, but left to my own devices, I would never eat another vegetable again in my life.

I've been considering a tuna fish casserole tonite but laziness will probably be the entrée. Pizza to the rescue.

Birthday boy (DS14) requested American goulash and chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter frosting so that's what we are having!

Last night, in spite of having had Italian twice already this week, I stopped in one if the local mom & pop pizza joints and had a tremendous calzone, stuffed with meatballs, sausage, and pepperoni.

Tonight it's fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches, to mark the date of Elvis's passing away.

I picked 4 cantaloupe this morning so we're making a cantaloupe, watermelon & banana fruit salad. Served with roasted salmon on crackers, assorted cheeses, and a Vodka Martini.

Dinner tonight is Salmorejo Cordobrese, (a Cordoba refinement of gazpacho - just tomatoes, garlic, dried bread, and olive oil), a salmon and chicken paella, grilled figs wrapped in coppa, and home-made ice cream. A friend is coming to spend the night and work on building hat blocks and blocking felts tomorrow. Hot weather calls for hot climate food.

    Nice!

Last night was just me and my boys, so I took them to Wendy's after picking up DS17 from band camp.

    Going out with friends tonight.
