Actually, it's called Mid-Brown. I had a Fed III that color and eventually got rid of it: in most lighting conditions, it looked more green than brown. And green is NOT my color. (I believe the Dark Brown of the Fed IV has a reddish cast, not green.)

I stand corrected; Mid Brown is correct. And I now recall previous discussions about the various shades & undertones of brown. This hat does not have any green undertones. In bright natural light it has rust red undertones as does the ribbon & binding also.

BBG and SB have arrived!!!!

Just put some dry bashes in for now. The BBG is really liking the center dent.

I'll leave them like this for now before getting them wet. I've thought about just wearing them and let them crease themselves in rain and such. But you know how difficult it is not to play with them. Hahah

Anyone have success with that method?

Here's something you don't see around here much. Its a Heritage Camp Draft with a cattleman's crease. I gave great thought to how I wanted to bash my new hat. I already have two Imperial CDs bashed as fedoras and I didn't really want another. And, truthfully, I wear my cattleman's creased ORs more than my fedoras...especially with suits.

So off to Optimo went the new CD. I think they did an excellent job of creasing the hat, even if they did shrink it a size. No worries, my hat stretcher brought it back to my size.

That's a nice hat you got there. Is it moonstone or silverbelly?

Is the felt on the SBCD noticeably stiffer than that of the BGCD? My SBCD is still as a board whereas the felt on my BGCD is almost not stiff enough. Strange. Imperial quality on both of mine.
My Imperial Silverbelly Camp Draft is stiff and my Imperial Bluegrass Green Camp Draft is soft. My Imperial Fed in Taupe Fawn is extremely stiff and my Deluxe (Heritage) grade is very soft.
