    What's your favourite season?

    Fall. The morning chill, the turning trees, a little breeze. The woodsmoke! Its Intoxicating! The early morning thumping of my 76 Chevy pickup, and belching exhaust. I don't miss logging so much, but it was amazing at breaktime, you'd shut down, pull your earplugs, and hear nothing at all.:)...

    My Son Left for the Air Force today...

    Know that your mail means a great deal to your son. Whether or not he tells you. It's a real drag when you're the only one that doesn't get mail at night. It sounds like he's getting plenty though, must have a good mom.;) Soon he'll be on to bigger and better things, or at least more fun...

    I went to aircrew school, which is right across the street from Navy OCS. We used to sit across the way and laugh when they came running out of the barracks to the tune of a morning loving Marine drill instructor. Just wait until a squirrel runs in their path, they'd stop on the spot and salute...

    You see this everywhere. Not just in the white collar field, or upper blue. When I was logging, we used to get these college kids back for the summer who thought logging was a tough manly knuckledragging job, and they figured they try their hand at it. They'd come on crew with this badass...
