I bought this pattern last month and am just about to start cutting a toile. Has anyone else made them and feel like commenting on the pattern and any difficulties etc? I plan to make two pairs in heavy linen, one navy pair and a brown pair. I do have enough denim, but I'm a bit worried that...
I think a few of the antipodean loungers know Walter, chap with a moustache, likes to dance.
Walter comes to the UK quite a lot and has called and left a message on my answer phone regarding an event on May 29th.
If anyone knows him, I don't have a phone number or email address for him...
Has anyone bought their Sarong style pattern?

Are they the same? I'm reading an article in the 1939 Film Review book and it talks about vanishing cream a lot! Can you still buy it? I know you can stil buy cold cream.
There are so many amazing red haired ladies on here I wanted to start a thread regarding good red hair dyes.
Can anyone reccomend a good one for dark brown hair and what experiences have you had with home dyeing?
I'm tempted by the Live range (Scwarzkopf) but am unsure...

This is from the December 1939 edition of 'Womans Illustrated' (no longer published) Of course it was our first Christmas at war and the magazine is full of ideas for a thrifty Christmas!
I have made...
It's my dance on Saturday and the theme this yr (the 10th anniversary of us starting the dance) is 'Remember Pearl Harbor!'
So, it has a hawaiian/japanese theme (two rooms) and I already have lanterns and Lei (who'd have thunk you could get 'em in the UK!) and I'm busy folding Origami cranes...
Gents (and ladies)
I found this company via The Chap magazine here in the UK. They are well worth a look, making high waisted trousers, waistcoats, wrap around pinnie dresses...oh have a look.
Bit pricy mind, but really lovely.
