Well folks it's finally finished. I took an old Stetson cowboy hat that belonged to my dad and turned it into a fedora. I had to replace the sweatband due to it tearing. I then changed out the ribbon, cut down and bound the brim.

Thanks to Tango Yankee for the sweatband and deanglen for the advice on binding the brim.

Nice Job!

Good work!! It looks very nice. It is very gratifying to redo a hat into something you will be proud to wear. :eusa_clap :eusa_clap

That is a superb job. I've never tried the edge binding. You've given me new inspiration. Thanks for sharing it! :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap

I've never done a brim edge with ribbon that wide before. I'll bet it was harder to do than the 3/8" grosgrain I normally use. You done good!:eusa_clap :eusa_clap
