I think I'm having an effect on the people I work with.

This is how one of our News Anchors showed up for work the other morning:

That's him on the left. Harris Tweed jacket, wool fedora, but hey, you gotta start somewhere.

I posted this picture under another thread but wanted to share it here.

You are a minister of the church of classic style! lol

To be honest, it is VERY cold in the building we work in. There's a lot of electronic gear. I wear my hat and a jacket almost everday.

Thanks everyone for the kind words about my last dress. :)

I wore this today. It fetched me a few compliments. ;)

Sorry the picture's fuzzy. I wish I had someone to take my pics at least!

The dress I made from a 1940s pattern. I also made the belt. Unfortunately I did not make the shoes. They are Faryl Robins.

yay, you posted the dress, pink! it looks great! and of course i'm in love with your shoes.

i have got to be the most unphotogenic person ever, as is witnessed here. LOOK AT MY CLOTHES, NOT ME!!!
today i wore:
- early 1940s wrap housedress (it's about to fall apart any second :( )
- cable-knit kneesocks
- repro saddle shoes
- vintage plastic necklace
- not pictured - tan argyle cardigan, off-white-with-brown trim double-breasted coat.

Thanks OG ShooShoo! I love that dress o' yours!

you're welcome, and thank you! i bought it in poor condition in 2000, and am dreading the day it finally gives out. it's nearly a decade older now, than it was when i first bought it! i hope it lasts until i'm a good enough sewer to use it as a pattern when it finally gives out - then i can make 7 of it and wear it every day. :D

A long, long day at the office...

Dark brown nailhead SB 3B ventless suit
Light brown shirt with white tab collar, white French cuffs
Ralph Lauren solid dark brown tie
White cotton pocket square, rectangular fold
Gold and rhnestone flying insect tie tack (Yes, you read correctly. This got me many delighted comments throughout the day!)
Hickok glass cufflinks

Brown braided leather braces
Silver pocket watch, left pants pocket, silver chain attached to trouser waist (chosen today because the French cuffs on the above shirt are very tight, too much so for a wristwatch)
Polished stainless steel link bracelet (left wrist)
Calvin Klein Truth cologne
Tan patterned OTC socks
AE brown Cody kiltie tassel mocs with woven leather inset
Tan SB topcoat
Brown leather gloves
J. Crew navy lambswool/cashmere scarf with kelly green stripes
Scala dark tan fedora with matching band, feather, Scala pin

Well, I still lack capacity to take a good self-pic, but here are a few bad ones, because I loved my outfit yesterday. :)
