How does that one compare to a 100 or 7XCB Brent? From the picture, the felt looks identical.

Stetson No. 1

This is the softest of my No. 1s. I also think it’s my oldest. Both my 100 and my 7XCB are thicker and denser. The crown on this No. 1 actually feels more like a dress weight hat whereas the others are heavier western western weight felts. I believe that the 100 and the 7XCB were also made in different configurations/models which might be lighter weight than mine.

You always remember your first Borsalino... Gorasgu in Lino (linen). Advertised as 1930s, I was young and believed it.

Super colour, shape, and nice wide ribbon on the Borsalino, Alan. You may have been fooled, but you weren't had. Looks good on you, too.

Wearing a casual 1950s Lees of London fedora in a nice blue today. They are finally going to MRI my screwed up back. I have been in pain since the middle of February, due to the remodel. I have been rather useless for a couple of months. The pain has caused me to neglect my family here on the Lounge, for this I am sorry. No need to apologize, Mike. It's good to see you posting again. I really hope the MRI will show your docs the way forward on how to fix your back problem. The FL family will be rooting for you.
Great colour on that Lees btw. Those old Manchester hat makers were hard to beat back in the day.

Good to see you back, Red. Sorry about your back. Don't overlook stuff like appropriate yoga and light exercise for it.

Man, Mike... my heart goes out to you. I’ve popped a couple disks myself, about 12 years ago. L4 and L5 (probably most common).
THIS cheap paperback book, now used in many Physical Therapy training curriculum, saved me. No surgery!! I still use the methods shown in here, almost daily. There is a section to safely determine if the techniques might work. Worth a $20 roll of the dice to get relief, eh?!

So far, EVERY one of my friends I’ve shared this with have been helped. And, no... author Robin MacKenzie is not a pal of mine (although I would HUG the man if I ever met him!!)
