Yes...if its really small. But if it is really big, it means its is a 7 3/4.

Odds are it is 6-3/4 since it's vintage, but yes, it could be 7-3/4. You could 1) ask the seller the peek behind the sweat and liner to find the factory tag to confirm the size, or 2) ask the seller to measure the length (front to back) and width (side to side) of the head opening. Using those measurements, (L + W)/2 should get you pretty close to a nominal size. Personally, I trust a seller to be able to make a couple simple straight measurements as opposed to poking around behind a sweatband which could cause unwanted damage if not done carefully.

Style Crest Straws today. I bought it from Will Moul. It is NOS. I had never seen a weave like this one. 98 cents got you a pretty good straw hat in those days.
