Been out shoveling a couple of inches of the new white and fluffy off of the drive.

Time to kick back with a nice bowl of hot chili now, I think.

Have a good day,
Michael

Michael, you need a Russian hat like the one on my Steinbach Tchaikovsky Nutcracker....

Thanks Hagwood! Embroidered last drops are one of my favorites. Now if I could just find a Nutria with horse and rider liner.

They are very cool. I've got one coming from ebay on a 3X Open Road, but wish my 7XCB had one.

I've seen some bronze statues of the scene that I'm thinking of getting for the vintage hat display I'm working on.

Or this framed metal sign:

The last in a series of French heather hats that sleep in the same box
View attachment 200285
Flechet size 59, no other indication in this semi-finished hat
View attachment 200286
Like his brothers, he lacks the lining, but has the name of the hat house on the sweatband
View attachment 200287
The heather felt of these gray-blue hats is very similar, minimally differing the amounts of gray and blue which are the variants
View attachment 200288
Flechet has a softer felt. Morreton more consistent with very particular ribbons in both producers

Thanks for the likes and kind words on the heather French
For the lovers of heather felts here a little comparison of the Flechet

and of the Morreton, made in the same period

Have nice day!
Some truly wonderful looking French heather felts, Daniele. Great additions to your collection. They look excellent on you, too.

Cavanagh, post ‘50 liner, early 50’s to early 60’s brown oval size tag
Zero imprints on sweatband, fortunately in fits

Super overall look and shape to that Cavanagh, Rockwater. Nice subtle rake, lovely widish ribbon and bow. Lovely velvety look to the milk chocolate coloured felt, and a typical vibrant Cavanagh liner, too. Love it.

Wearing this cab headliner scraper to go paint some three piece crown molding.
Don’t worry, the hat will wait safely in the truck. Got some bidness to tend to after work. View attachment 200308

Glad you're keeping that hat safe, Randall. I was worried for a moment [emoji4]. Don't work too hard, buddy.

I really am partial to the skinny tied ribbons with the tails on these hats Ed. I guess i’ve always been a pure beaver tail man. Good things and all that.
I took mine out yesterday in the snow to add some perfection to a dreary day. No tails though. Argg!
As always, your crowns are King.
