Love that Silvermist. I always think they are too light a color for my lifestyle but yours makes me want to take the plung!

Featherweight Silver mist from V.S.

Always a sharp dressed man, Panos.

Thank you all for your likes and compliments yesterday, we very much appreciate it !

Brent, I guess it's because they own the style since the first one appeared as a woman's hat. Fact is, they always look better with just about everything in our eyes :)

Sunny today and pretty much the perfect winter day imo: sun and cold enough to wear my scarfs, coats and hats ;) Wearing one that I picked up just yesterday

You wear wider brim hats as good as the stingy ones Joe. Love the color of this one !

Thanks Panos.. takes a lot of getting used to. I love the felt of this oldie... and I do want to wear it after bringing her back to life.

Best,
Joe

Thank you. What would you like to know!? There are more pictures in the 3X thread.
Oh ok, I'll check out the 3x thread. I kind of hover around a limited few threads, so I think I probably miss a lot of information. I'm just not familiar with the designated 3x line and how it fits in with Stetson's non-western looking hats. Thanks.

Very dapper Reggie ! You pull off with ease these long hair finishes!

Thank you very much. I like to have fun with them. I think most guys can wear them. Long hair finishes are for colder weather, and they already have a general commanding presence, so you don't have to work too hard to match them up with your clothing. When paired with simple winter garments, it seems to work. At least that is how I look at it.

Man, I’m going International this morning:

Italy: Borsalino
Irish: Aran Sweater
Switzerland: Nespresso
Germany: Lamy Fountain Pen
U.S.A: Allen Edmonds

And probably some China in there somewhere, though I do try to limit it.....

Good morning from a Verona with sun and the temperature that is falling.
Second episode of the French homburgs

Antonin France Chapeaux de Luxe size 60 or 7 1/2 US
Antonin Marron 1 bis R.jpg

It is unlined like its brother in grey and only with a tip on the bottom of the crown
Antonin Marron 7 bis R.jpg

No indication of felt color and neither of the type
Antonin Marron 2 bis R.jpg

It is a hat that comes directly from the eve of the Second World War or, perhaps, immediately afterwards.
The felt is very thin and malleable with a medium brown color, the ribbon matches the color of the felt

Thanks for the likes for the Antonin in grey and your kind words
My compliments to you all loungers, your hats are beautiful

I’ll save the naphtha bath for a more deeply soiled, or light colored hat.

All it took was low compressed air blasts, a brushing, a damp cloth and steam shaping to bring this hat back to its glory days.
I’ll say this: Though I have had no problems using water to clean or promote the stretch of vintage sweats in the past, lately, I have ruined two sweats with it. I’ll never use water again.
Leather conditioner and a rag only.
With this hat and sweat the cold water didn’t completely ruin it but shrunk and cracked portions of it. [emoji35][emoji35][emoji35]
Maybe you guys can learn from my recent astonishing experience.

Turned out great Randal !

Yeah, I never use water on sweats, just plenty of Pecards. I will also mist with distilled water and warm it up from the outside only (around the bottom of the ribbon and brim) with a hair dryer after treating it before putting the stretcher in.
