Instruct us, Sensei.

I haven’t pretended to know a whole lot about fedoras compared to most FL guys.
I’ve learned a few things on my own while blindly going about the simple side of hatting over a period of thirty some years, but have learned much more from threads written by members of the FL in just three months.
I am very happy to have found this forum and the folks who frequent it.
I was a lonely fedora bum before coming here. Now I’m a fedora bum...with friends, and access to loads of hat information.
Wish I could learn how to find it all on here. Still haven’t completely figured this
e-place out.

Nice, John. I love a Cavanagh edge no matter what they called it. The new ribbon color looks great!

Thanks Brent!
The ribbon has been on it for a couple years now, the original was brown. I wasn't a fan of the brown on grey when I found the hat years before, so it went through a few ribbons before I made this one. Now, even though I love the blue on grey combo, I wish I still had the original...

Sure he does.
My granddaughter, Liberty Ann, who is my namesake in a roundabout way (I wrote a series of somewhat dystopian stories 30 years ago in my correspondence to a friend who moved back to MO at his mother's insistence after his wife got pregnant while he was trying to throw up an off the grid, very rustic cabin. My imaginary son knocked up his then newborn daughter --- she was his senior --- and sired a granddaughter named Liberty Ann, and my daughter named one of the twins for her), and who I've shared more than once because she loves my hats and is destined to be heir to them, just found some scissors and gave herself a mullet. The fun never stops.

Wow.....

Some sad news... though I think there are many among us would be just fine with these words describing our last moments...

Hats off to this gentleman.

“He was very still, sitting upright with his guitar on, wearing the coolest hat and a beautiful rust suede jacket we laughed about because it was raining like hell outside the boathouse where we were playing — I just want the picture to be as graceful and dignified as it was, because it at first looked like he was just taking a moment."

I wore my Resistol kitten finish with my kitten, Salome, and my Borsalino marque grand luxe yesterday, and am beginning this morning with my Falcon Park Virtuoso.
Thanks, everyone, for the recent comments

Looking sharp Jeff. Looks like you have weathered the first family storm well. Stay well and warm.

Thanks for the color on a Tuesday sir! Great sweater, shirt, tie and hat combos of late.

This used to be a 70s western Penny’s Marathon.

Wow! Your renovations are very cool. Congrats on being a learning adult and working on hats.

Single digits in air temp this morning has me hunkering down in my double Mackinaw and wearing a VS lightweight (silverbelly) down low.

This mid ribbon is inspired by the venerable vintage Stetson Wanderer. I have yet to spot one in real life. I keep the dream with this and other mid ribbons.
