"Right for the Country: The Casual." "The jaunty, narrow-band Stetson Casual ($10) rings the bell for campus or country. "

This morning a vintage Stetson Casual was my hat for morning outside chores.
Be safe, be strong and see you soon on the street.

I recall Perry and Max having versions of this hat. The hat has a unique corded ribbon. The corded ribbon has grown on me and I like its narrow ribbon that has a bolder appearance. Not many are seen on the lounge. Speaking of scarce, I have not seen a Stetson Campus. Advertised with the Casual. "It has a youthful-narrow brim, snapped in front..." I see bound edge with a "Whippet-esque" ribbon size. A college boy version of the Whippet? Still looking for a version.

Wow, your memory is still sharp Eric:p! I think Doug also has a gray version of this one. Mine is same color as yours, kind of a light tan color.

Richman Brothers Panama straw made in Ecuador in the 50s? The straw had 2 cracks that I repaired, but otherwise in great condition. The leather sweatband is as new, but the threads holding the sweat to the Reeded material ring had rotted and the sweat components fell apart from each other!
Had to sew them back together and then sew it back to the straw. Changed out the original ribbon that was ruined from use of the double sided tape from manufacturer.
The Richman inner crown logo was something I made from looking at logos of other Richman hats, So, pretty much rebuilt the entire hat and probably should now call the hat a Poorman Brothers! :)

Excellent choice, Perry.
Wearing a new Cavanagh to my ‘Essential Job’ this morning. Received it late last week and got it out of the freezer and cleaned up this weekend. Perfect Condition ! More on the New Hats thread later.

Good catch, Tim. Saw it on offer, but I have one in the same colour already, so I passed, but it's a fabulous hat.

The couple of inches of snow that was on the ground when I got up has melted. Still long hair weather though with this Beaver Hats 10X

There's a lot of hat to work with there, Michael. Lovely colour.

Dog soiree and bird feeder duties this morning in a Gannon Wanderer (inspired by Stetson of said name in blue beaver felt and charcoal trimmings).

Best, Eric -
Impeccable as always, Eric. That combination just works so well.
Yes sir.

Above are some comparative shots of Gannon hats using the Winchester felts.
I'd love a tree like that in my garden!
You're halfway there, Brent. Nice colours.

A stratoliner just always seems to work. Nice!

Super hat, Greg. Looks very good with the brim up. Not all hats do.
Great colour and the finishing looks very good on that one as well. Cool hat.

I really like the look of that one, Dave. It's one of those unknown brand surprises I guess.

The unlabeled one again today.

Very nice, Michael. The very simple bow design appeals to me for some reason.

Great job, Randall. Certainly a hat worth saving.

Wearing my 4X Stetson Longhair Western that I converted last year...

I was outside doing chores mid-day. Cutting big limbs into smaller ones, brushing, cleaning out the raspberry canes and emptying fire pits found me out in an Akubra CD. After the efforts I needed to change hats to let the Akubra dry out and be ready for some conditioning and steaming back to open crown. I changed to a Lee Adventurer to admire my efforts.

Looking good, Mike. Please stay that way.

Going out into the dead zone to raid Safeway for my in-laws. They are under draconian restrictions at their Bonaventure Retirement Center and only can have deliveries. So, I have donned my early 1950s Borsalino Featherweight fedora and will be their delivery boy. I need reasons to get out of the house to wear my hats. Patty is disturbed, but has not chained me to the couch yet.
