That is one nice Lee long hair, Jim. Great colour, too. Randal can sure find them.

Stay well. The beer and rum should help :)

After being cooped up for a few, I ventured forth today to replenish the Strategic Bacon Reserve, along with other essentials, such as rum and beer.

Making it's debut a new to me Lee long hair I picked up from Randall recently. It needed some TLC, a little grooming , a bump from 7 1/8 to 7 1/4, and a new sweatband, but now it's fine as wine. Still need to reattach the wind trolley, though.

Looking good, Bob. Nice OR. I appreciate them even more now that I have two in two different styles :)

Stay safe and stay well, my friend.

Had to run up to the mailbox (now a 30-mile round trip since the bridge is out). Wearing my go-to Stetson 3X Open Road.

Also took a walk along the East property line which is now different than it used to be after the recent Forest Service survey. They basically made an ‘X’ over the 1930s era fence line. We lost some here, but gained some there.

View attachment 222342 Richman Brothers Panama straw made in Ecuador in the 50s? The straw had 2 cracks that I repaired, but otherwise in great condition. The leather sweatband is as new, but the threads holding the sweat to the Reeded material ring had rotted and the sweat components fell apart from each other!
Had to sew them back together and then sew it back to the straw. Changed out the original ribbon that was ruined from use of the double sided tape from manufacturer.
The Richman inner crown logo was something I made from looking at logos of other Richman hats, So, pretty much rebuilt the entire hat and probably should now call the hat a Poorman Brothers! :) View attachment 222343 View attachment 222340

This old beat up Super Borsalino that I managed to clean up somewhat has really allowed me to step up my lawn mowing hat game. I’m feeling a bit @Short Balding Guy today... ok not quite. But a step in the right direction. :)
