Northwest in rust for a funeral today. It’s overcast and a bit drizzly. But at least it’s a cooler 75 degrees.

Condolences to you, your family and the deceased family. Gives us reason to reach out, perhaps by phone, and tell our family and family we care. Bill truly sorry for your loss. Glad you could be present.

The past month plus two of my family passed due to Covid complications. It is a challenging time for all. We held virtual services and I was pleasantly pleased with the outcome. Folks felt at ease to speak up and share. Our experience was that we had some elderly members of the family show via the social media app who may not have been able to without this change. Phone calls and letters have been follow-ups. Good to see closer contacts resulting.

Be safe, be strong and see you on the street soon, Eric -

A new pug will freshen up even the most scruffy straw! Hoping the cough is nothing serious. 'Rona in paradise, sounds like a Jimmy Buffett song...

Classy as always Fabio. Is that suit vintage? Sure love the red striping.

Wish we had orioles, I get my yellow bird fix from the flocks of Gold Finches that have been chowing down at my feeders. Have you ever done a comparison of Lo Blue vs Cordova caps? Been thinking I need to step up my cap game.

Wonderful Playboy Perry! That sweater is really something else though!
Thanks Red. In many ways I'm living the dream. Just glad I'm not searching for my lost shaker of salt anymore.

Day 13 of 31 Hat Parade: Didn't leave the house on this rainy gray day, but let us feature a fine European Homburg. This Hut Schick offering is possibly pre-WWII. It has the features of an early one, but it is hard to pin down a decade. The color is a deep forest green. I have creased this one (with my Jiffy hat steamer) in a style from the era. The hat is of Austrian manufacturer in Vienna. Just to make it official, I did wear this one around the house today. The images are from the sunny archives.

I love that hat Michael. The more Marathons I see, the more I like them. They really have style. That must have been their selling point, because they always seem to have some style variation that other hat companies used a lot less often.
They made some nice ones for sure. I only have 3 or so and they are all quality work.

Lovely hat, Perry. Wonderful colour.

Speaking of wonderfully coloured hats! Balm for the eyes, Michael.

Excellent, Bill. Unique bow style.
It's good to take it our for some air now and again.

Was that made by the same people that made Steiff teddy bears. Strikingly similar furriness.

Thanks all,
Michael

So sorry to hear this Eric. It now feels like COVID has taken a part of my family as what touches you touches us all here as part of the Lounge family. Condolences to your and yours.

Thanks sir. My family is not alone in having this pandemic find it's way into our homes. To all who suffer, remain strong.

Hug your family and be safe. Eric-
