Dog soiree and some mulching very early before the heat of the day.

A pine hued Stetson Stratoliner was my hat choice for the tasks.

Sunbody for a walk in the high humidity morning sun.

Sunbody needs to dry out. I rinsed the sweat under the hose and have the hat drying in the shade. A Pilgrim straw hat is my choice for a dry sweat and fixing breakfast.

Cheers, Eric -
How are those sunbody hats in hot weather? Are they light and airy?

I had one of their bowlers in "oak" once. While I liked the aesthetic, I found it to be extremely heavy and bulky, even uncomfortable to wear, and the straw was so thick that the hat looked two sizes too big on my head even when the elastic cinched up pretty good. Eric and others may have a different experience.

I have a few of them. I’d say they’re heavy and warm. Even if you go with the grommeted ventilation holes there won’t be much air flow. Tough, rugged, and inexpensive, but not light or airy. The palm itself is about airtight. It a nice option when it’s not too hot, or if you can regularly dunk it in water to help keep it cool.

Thanks Jeff. You and Brent pretty much had the same opinion on them. I was suspecting as much. I've been wanting a light straw for Summer wear and it doesn't look like Sunbody's going to fit the bill for me.

Thanks buddy. I suspected that they'd be hot and heavy.
