How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

X150 for sure. I think both LF and Butterscotch have described the leather as Comp Weight but I have also had it confirmed by Constantine at Vanson that the original jacket was made in X150.

Didn’t actually buy this but considering it. This one is on pre-order and not out yet. I’ve always liked the Commando and we have members here that own them.
One other point to consider if you are thinking of ordering this jacket is the fit difference between Butterscotch and Left Field. Butterscotch has opened up the bottom hem a little bit looser than the LF version (probably to allow for more IPA and/or ice cream consumption). While that might be an attractive feature to some it is not anything I would want on my jacket. I own the original LF cut and I think it is a very nice slim fit crosszip jacket. Opening up the bottom hem would lessen the V shape of the jacket and make it boxier.

It’s also a longer cut jacket, hence the need for the two-way zip if you aren’t tall.

@Marc mndt You know what, I’ve never asked so can’t definitely say.

On a different topic, insomnia is good. Picked up a white workmanship label Harley Sportster in a 44 for $100.

X-150. With some made in Firenze, designated as Commando-S. Recently read here that some from Butterscotch were in Z too. I did not know that. But the original from LF and non-S designated Butterscotch Commandos, are generally X-150. This is straight from Vanson’s mouth. I asked them after being confused by the same phrase you highlighted. It’s a poorly worded description. And this one does say X-150 a few sentences below.
Thank you @JMax and @El Marro. Many things to consider and I’m
Not sure what I’m going to do, but first and foremost wanted that cleared up. As I said I know I had read it somewhere on here before but just couldn’t remember where at. So thanks for taking the time to answer again. Appreciate you guys.

Has anyone here spoken to Vanson during the pandemic? It’s completely possible I’m an idiot and just didn’t see any news. Wouldn’t be the first and wouldn’t be the last time. So if this is common knowledge, or there’s some pop-up on their site or fb but didn’t see anything. I recently came across this jacket on grailed with gold or brass colored epaulet stars. I have this 90s Vanson I think would look killer with them. I emailed two weeks ago asking how much they charge for the stars, and how much they charge to do the labor of attaching the stars. When I emailed them I got a generic response back about how they were still open and making masks. I waited a few days and replied and got the same email back. So if anyone’s spoken to vanson recently and has an update please do let me know. If I hear nothing from them or you fine TFL members I will just call them this week, no problem with that at all.or if anyone has purchased Stars from them and had them applied and has a price range, also appreciated. In any case here’s the jacket from Grailed and my Vanson So you can have an idea of how it will look. Again in my opinion it would look killer.

Danny, it shouldn't be difficult to attach the stars yourself, though it's usually done with a kick press machine but other than that, they aren't really made in any special way. I think they'd tell you the same and would probably charge you a lot for sending you the stars while there are a lot of options on eBay, just gotta make sure to buy the metal ones (Vanson seems to be using those Russian stars). Other than that, they all attach the same.

I’m going to be honest I am not crafty or handy which is why I wanted to talk to them even though I knew it would be pricey. If it’s very pricey I may just learn it myself though to save that kind of money. Actually Haley’s sister is an amazing crafter and super handy. She makes her own stuff alllll the time. If I can get metal Vanson stars or a close approximation metal stars from a vendor, I may ask her to do it. Thank you for the advice.

And @JMax I’ve spoken to Constantine before usually been super useful and responsive. Just no luck on email, if I end up calling will definitely ask for Constantine. Thanks all.
