What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Good morning, noon, and night, everybody!!
I'm home in recovery from a completely successful surgical adventure. The downtime has given me more time to follow the conversations here, and I am delighted to report the resulting transfer of custodianship from Brent to me of this (instant favorite!!) 1950s (?) Cavanagh classic, in size 7-7/8!!!!! It fits nearly like a custom, right out of the box, too. I don't know if you had an opportunity to put an accurate date on this one, Brent, but the age markers are mixed, if not hazy. At the moment I am thinking circa 1953, based mostly on the sweatband and production tag factors. Then, there is the liner graphic...

My "new" favorite hat, thank you Brent!!

There's nothing so wrong it can't be set right by a good hat named after a great American city.

Thanks Bowen and all!

I may have roped myself into wearing it to a (small, distanced) wedding later this month. Going from zero to 60 much faster than expected.

As an aside, I picked it up from one2miniranch after seeing their presence here. Fantastically quick shipping, and good prices to boot!
Quite appropriate for a wedding, I think.
I have bought from one2miniranch; I share your appraisal.

Welcome! One2miniranch has good stuff, but wait 'til you dip your toes in vintage.

Then, all is lost...

Lol...roped in..good term to use with the utilitarian Open Road type hat.
Weddings are well in an OR’s wheelhouse and silverbelly goes like 60 everywhere.
Jackets allowed here too. Nice one.

Yay, you’re back Charlie!
Great news about the adventure no one wants to go on. Prayerfully no more of those type adventures.
You look good. Hat too.

Hey Charlie. I'm glad to hear all is well. Yep, that Cavanagh is just your style. The Blue ribbon on the brown felt looks really neat.
