Haven't been posting much lately. Just haven't felt very well. My son and I both are dealing with COVID. Anyway, this is the first day I felt like getting out. Wearing a Silverbelly from Northwest Hats.

Glad you are feeling better. Best wishes to you and your family for continued recovery and better health.

It’s good to see you, Bill. I’m glad you and your son are beating Covid: scary stuff. I hope the recovery is complete and you enjoy the holiday season.

Love the Stetson Michael!
Thanks Dave.

Hard to argue with that Sovereign Michael.
Thanks Joe. It's a nice bit of felt.

One fine Stetson Michael. At 15 degrees you will need a proper parka!
Thanks Mike. The Filson double mac did the job just fine. Got out for an hour and forty with an extra 20 minute break to sit on a bench and drink hot coffee. Lovely day.

Thanks all,
Michael

View attachment 285222 No mint monochrome Adam with shark gills. Nevertheless, the addition of this 3rd Salvatore Balbi Borsalino, Feather Weight, goes a long way to lighten the load of my coveting transgressions. :) View attachment 285223 View attachment 285224

another WOW hat Randall

Doogan Donegal Navy knit with grey/navy herringbone - a couple of these Doogan caps arrived with some other flat caps a while back. Half knit half tweed flat cap... when I first tried them on at the time I didn’t care for the look. What do you know... one cold day (for us) and I changed my mind.

I like it Joe!! I am partial to flat caps. I picked two up when I was in Ireland 15 years ago and wear them frequently during our cold New England winters.

I can imagine they come in handy. I enjoy the flat caps and newsboys as well. Just wasn’t sure at first I liked the lines of this sorta half breed. Growing on me now.

The machine hats were due to finish last week, but a series of engagements kept me away from the computer and FL.
A summary of the previous days.
Mf Panizza 6.jpg
Albertini -Linea Panizza in anthracite gray felt with short hair finish.
Mf Panizza 1.jpg
It seems that Panizza and heirs have been weaving first quality felt for many years even if the hats had sways in quality.
Mf Panizza 3.jpg

The same can be said of the Barbisio when it was produced by Cappellificio Cervo.
MF Barbisio verde 2.jpg

Barbisio Classic of wonderful color, called "Liguria" with the logo written in gold on the bow (Borsalino docet).
MF Barbisio verde 3.jpg
As always, the combination of colors in Barbisio is excellent as is the felt.
MF Barbisio verde 5.jpg

With this hat the "machine formed" found in a container are finished. Others will follow, but I will change the theme for the remaining days of the week
Today it's snowing, light this morning when I arrived at the office, now the flakes are heavy.
MFLana e neve.jpg

Note the wool cap, called in Italian "passamontagna - balaclava" which when it was purchased was outlawed by the law that prohibited walking on the street with the face covered. It was the seventies and political riots and skirmishes were the order of the day
We are lucky: the temperature is around zero Celsius so there will be little snow on the ground
Buona giornata!
