How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

That's a very good question. Many were second hand (some slight, some more severe fit issues). The three I had custom made I sold because:

LOL...In all honesty my tastes for crosszips started to dry up. But I've found myself thirsty again. I'd really like to try another one of Aero's leather offerings too. I've been through plenty of CXL.

lol
Perhaps an idea is not to sell things immediately, but to archive them and come back to them later?
It works pretty well for me. Since I don't like the sales process as such, I keep a lot. And it is not uncommon for me to remember after a long time that I still have this and that and there is a revival.
However, if this revival is short-lived, then it really is time to pass things on.

@ton312 I totally agree with @MrProper I make it the same way and sometimes after one year or longer when I come to the conclusion that I probably will never wear it for some reason I'm selling it but sometimes there is a revival as Mr Proper said.

I think Aero or Thurston should introduce a leather jacket subscription service for customers like ton. Where you lease the jackets instead of buying them. And once a month you get a new jacket delivered and send back the old one. Need for trying out new jackets satisfied without the hassle of selling and buying.

Great idea. This leasing model already exists for other clothing and I think it can be adapted to high quality leather jackets (following link is only in German language): https://unown-fashion.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIrcKuoo3z7gIVS_lRCh0KIwWtEAAYASAAEgIPJ_D_BwE

Yes I agree and there’s certainly at least a few pieces I should’ve done that with. For the most part I don’t have any selling regrets, certain styles have run their course. I don’t see myself going back to M/C styles for example. But...to not have a cross zip of any kind....that’s a crime against oneself.

Non, no, no. This approach has left me with so many jackets over the years that "won´t wear" has become "can´t wear" all of them. I have started to sell some pieces only recently and feel immense relief about that.

Yeah I get that side too. I do feel I’ve kind of figured out what I prefer and truthfully I don’t need to have as many options. Couple gaps to fill and I’ll be good. The one thing I really want out of the next jacket is a genuine vintage feel. I’m really drawn to the jerky but I’ll wait to get a sample to decide. Jerky just looks like true vintage to me.
I’m not weight obsessed anymore. I owe that to 5 star. For this one I want it to be insane in the grain:

The leather selection is crucial for this type of jacket I feel. Too thin and it looks sloppy, too soft it will drape in the wrong way. I feel like this style needs a bit of rigidity to it.

This is just insane... Since I joined this forum I have gone completely bananas! This is my collection so far, and now I have a RMC Buco j-100 and a Thedi made to measure cafe racer coming. Where is the way out of this rabbit hole :D

Great collection! There is no way out....as there are also Freewheelers, Lost Worlds, Field Leathers and many more to discover!
