How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

An impulsive buy, Vintage Buffalo Plaid Jacket. Unknown Brand just yet, possible Sears , JC Penny or Woolrich.

Let's see if it fits well.

Incoming Field Leather Manhattan (J-24) modified with a different back/sleeve design and will have detachable mouton collar as well. Greg will remake the whole jacket as the leather used on the front panels is a little too thin for his liking to ship out. Greg said he will likely use this jacket in his shop as a sample.

I just saw that, and it looks great!
Push him for a larger, more pointy, and fish-mouthed collar shape on the re-do.
It would also look cool w/o the little coin pocket on the D.

He is working on the remake and hopefully he gets to it by the end of the week. The back/sleeve designs are likened to the leather togs

Always fun seeing the very detailed story of the jacket being made. I'm okay with the current set up lol I don't want to take too much out of his version of the J24 as he already indulged me enough with my requests. The only thing that will change there is the color of the lining(red)/zipper sleeve construction/detachable mouton collar/snap button to the collar, lapel and bottom snap on the hem like the j24L

Dang that's beautiful!

Thanks man, love the leather on this and can't wait to break it in

I was thinking about going with that sleeve design as well for my Manhattan. Still on the fence as I do eventually want to get an actual Leathertogs made up at some point.

It couldn't hurt to get them for both maybe just switch the finish of the hardware (available in nickel/brass and I'm sure it can be had in other finishes too). I also would love a FW La Brea in brown but im between sizes for the pattern so it might not work out and I might need to have it made to order as well.

@Jin431 duuuuuude seeing that JL in Vermont is 1) an eye-opening BEAUTY and 2) getting me pumped up for my JL “Cascade”

Design on your cyclist jacket is very neat. Love the bottom snap work.

whoa. wow. Wait, is this you buying someone else's jacket that hasn't passed muster? Or your design from beginning and he's making some tweaks. Thought I saw something similar to this recently. It's beautiful. Pretty much a freewheeler La Brea rip off. If I had to get another jacket from Greg, probably would be this exact one except in brown.

I know man I feel we made the right choice in picking the best hide they currently offer so good job to us. @JCSD is also having a MTO jacket out of this hide. Can't wait to see the both of your jackets here soon enough. I'll post close up photos of the hide when I get the jacket.

Yes they put their own twist on it with the hand pocket placement and the length of the chest pocket should be functional for use. This has the riri zips so I'm excited to try them out.

This is my jacket request, Greg was half way done making it when he figured he will not send it to me (leather is too thin for him to pass his QC) so he just finished the jacket up that will eventually be displayed in his brick & mortar store somewhere in Scotland. It's one of those Frankenstein jackets that I really like lol j-24 front with like you said La Brea elements in the back/sleeve designs. I was thinking the same thing that this would look so cool in brown with an added belt

dipping my toes into the military rabbit hole. Although starting slow and cheap. Grabbed a couple older Schott designs, probably not true to military spec, but that ain't my hot button, so no biggie. Going to see how the combined shipping vs. individual works out, but pricing will end up being about $100-125 all in for each for these.

The first looks like maybe some new knits might be in order, but we'll see if I like overall before putting some restoration money into it. Can't tell if the mutton collar is detachable. From what I can make out, the 674 models aren't (and usually have sherpa style lining too unremovable), but the 184sm (even though main tag says 674) are. But then there's a couple of hybrid styles like 174sm (which I think is what this might be) and just variations of the original 674 (some have action back, some don't, some have zip up liner, some quilted). Looks like it might have the hefty silver talon zip as well. One of the leaps of faith of buying from buyee, you just don't have all the info. If it is 174sm, that's the naked leather, really nice in a medium brown.

The other is a 184sm but missing the detachable collar and liner and has an action back--usually a deal breaker for me, but again, will test out the fit and see how it goes. Has that classic flight jacket brown patina, so I couldn't resist.

Is this the teacore leather? With dark brown stitching? Thinking of using that same combo on my custom FL. Greg should have my mock-up jacket ready in a few weeks.

Planning a custom design, cafe racer with collar. Need to talk through some of the details with Greg.
Don't be worried with the fit on the mock up jacket too much, he doesn't dwell a lot of time on making them. Note all the details once he gets to your order, he is still a one man opearatjon and can only focus on certain projects that is at hand. The completion time might take longer than advertised but i feel it's worth the wait.

Congrats on both! Big week for you.
Looks like it! Should have the JL sometime this week, the FL remake should be finished tomorrow and will be delivered sometime next week. Thanks man

Got a Freewheelers Bodie jacket to replace the Mulholland and Sunset which I have now sold. It's a dark brown, so I will be switching my Field Leathers jacket to black so I can still have at least one black leather jacket.

The brown is rather dull in most stockist photos, but it is supposed to age to a more rich, reddish tone which I can see a bit of in the Freewheelers photos. That leather color was the one hang up so those FW photos made me pull the trigger. I adore the deerskin that FW uses and the style and most importantly, short length are perfect for me. This is the shortest stock leather jacket I have ever personally come across. It's at least an inch shorter in the back than my RMC Cooper jacket is which was already rather short by stock jacket standards.

Needless to say, I'm excited for this one. I have never said this before, but I expect this to end up as my number one jacket. I hope it lives up to this.
