Today's selection was purchased years ago when I met with Graham at a store in San Francisco where he was doing a trunk show. This Optimo fedora was labled as "The Mitchum" and is in Oxblood. I tried to get better lighting on the profile on the hat to show the taper at the rear. I still like the Oxblood and have another version which I will post in the future.

Wet wintery day today. Dug out my churchill from the bath hat company because it handles light drizzles well. I knitted the scarf myself, and I'm quite proud of it. I haven't been out in a nice hat in over a month because me and the misses have been a little overwhelmed with our newborn daughter and I decided getting groceries was a good enough reason to don the felt.

I like the hat and the scarf. You’re quite the renaissance man.

Some felled trees across the river and what appeared to be a beaver damn

That’s a fine looking hat Joe. I see you are in my neck of the woods. Columbia is about 30 miles west of me.

Happy birthday, my friend! That’s an incredible photo essay, Randall. Thanks for sharing this with us!

Thanks, Brent!
Sorry I missed out on that Whippet you had for sale.
today I signed up to “Auction Sniper”
Maybe I won’t miss out on any great ones again.
Btw, this week I also missed a super sweet 30s wide brim Knox “Tuxedo” fedora because I forgot to make a bid sometime during the final hour! Grrrrr! Hope whoever won it at $16.50 can truly appreciate that great hat. Was planning to bid $150 so if not for my stupid memory I might’ve been able to add a killer, near mint Knox with an awesome liner logo to the pile.

I was watching that tuxedo hat and planned to bid on it. I didn’t think about it until two hours after the auction had ended. Happens to me all the time. Maybe I’ll look into that app too.
