I got caught up in the Iron Heart 15% off sale and bought this beauty:

It’s an IH x Simmons Bilt collaboration in natural Italian horsehide. I’ve had my eye on this jacket for a good long while and the sale was all the excuse I needed to pull the trigger.
I also ordered some Mustang Paste that I plan to apply when I receive it to give it a little color. I love how this jacket looks raw but I don’t really fancy being a pale white man in a pale white jacket…

Perfect. Every A. R. jacket I've seen have been great.

I certainly hope it fits! Measurements were not what I would call decipherable. A mystery waiting to be solved. Hopefully it goes my way but looking at the hanger in relation to the jacket…I’m not too optimistic.

Great jacket, I love it, besides being quality built Albert Richard labels are so cool. Been watching, dealing with the seller for a bit but never could get her to upload a pic with measurements. Her measurements were pretty iffy but I was pretty sure it’d be too small for my 44 size. Guess if I was young and handsome I could’ve got the measurement. Oh well you know the story about the young bull and the old bull.

Her measurements were pretty iffy but I was pretty sure it’d be too small for my 44 size. Guess if I was young and handsome I could’ve got the measurement. Oh well you know the story about the young bull and the old bull.

Well I’m neither but I am a huge pain in the ***. That said I couldn’t get her to load decent pics either. I suspect it’s a size 40” which will make it too small for me as well. I just had to find out and the price is low impact enough to justify the risk!

There were two on eBay (38 & 40). I ended up going with the larger one which leaves the 38 for someone who is a 36ish. The seller on that one has been very helpful with all the measurements, so if anyone wants to be Leather Brothers- I’m game.

The other jacket I was keenly watching and dealing with the seller on was this Hercules. So after @ton312 bought the Albert Richard I decided I had no choice but to buy the Hercules…kinda had a duty or responsibility to do so, something like that.

Yes, I have an Albert Richard jacket that is identical to a Sears model. I suspect they made many jackets for Sears and the other catalogs too.

That seller's in my city, I actually bought an old WD for my wife from him before. I'd love to see fit pics w/ guy you grabbed as I've always been curious what they look like ON somebody. I pass the old WD store often as it's right around the corner. It was always a trip going in there, very old school, it felt like time slowed down a little .. and if I was wearing something <other> than a WD I always got kind of a disapproving, sideways look.

The above link is the jacket I have purchased to be made, in black HH (black deerskin was not available).

I requested a few changes to the design, like remove the two chest pockets and use a single D-pocket, put the cuff zippers on top of the sleeves...

Waiting for my Timberline to be returned from Langlitz. I always regretted not getting hand warmer pockets when I had the jacket built - as I was traveling thru Portland mid-July, I took the opportunity to stop in at Langlitz and have the jacket altered. Tracking shows jacket is out for delivery.

I’ve never cried over a jacket that’s too small to wear. Until today Easily the nicest Halfbelt I’ve ever laid hands on. The interior is mint. With a little Urad this thing will glow and belong among the pantheon of the best jackets I’ve ever touched. Absolute soul crusher!!
