Here's a black Borsalino that I refurbished and blocked a couple sizes bigger. A fellow Lounger gifted this one to to me a couple or so years ago...

On the block, and a before and after open crown comparison:

After: I reused the original ribbon and bow...

Very nice Terry. Giving off Stetson Playboy vibes in its new blocking

You know with a name like Jones you've got to have Welsh ancestry. If the itch to trace your British/Welsh ancestary is in your DNA do let me know. You can stay at my place, just as long as you bring along your hat blocks et al! What an artiste you are!

Ha! Thank you buddy! I'm definitely of Welsh and British stock, as well as Norman ancestry. I was actually born in Ruiclip. I've always wanted to visit Isles someday. When I do, I'll be sure to look you up, and I'll bring along my hat blocks!

Well I might just hold you to that, further more, your carriage will definitely be worthy of both your talent and your birthright. Ruislip? Who would have guessed?

I took a tour on 19th, 18th, and 16th century vessels today. Then went to smoke a cigar at a Pipe Musuem in Old Town, and a drink at the pub. I wore my Bicorne I made from 50% Beaver and 50% Nutria, felted by Winchester Hat Corp. I will make a 100% beaver bicorne next with a taller "Fan" from Fepsa felts.

It's still early, but I'm calling it. Hat of the day!

Oh my, are you the re-enactment of Admiral Lord Nelson standing on the deck of his flag ship, HMS Victory, at the battle of Waterloo.
Fab-u-lous!

My wife and I celebrated our 19th anniversary today. I wore my Gannon Highwayman this evening.

Look at you two love birds, what a lovely photo. Congratulations to you both. Now you are only six years away from your first "biggie," the 25th or Silver Wedding Anniversary. You have to celebrate that in style. What I did was to take the lady on The European part of The Orient Express, steam hauled of course. Was it expensive, oh yes, but the lady was worth it. So, start your plans and save your pennies and if it turns out like ours, you will still be dining out on the experience for years to come.
